Class
Arcadia categorizes nouns into five grammatical classes, determined by their word-ending pattern. While noun class does not alter meaning, it follows a consistent and predictable structure.
The Five Classes
- Solid (
-i
) → Typically associated with structured or stable entities. - Liquid (
-e
) → Often linked to fluid, adaptable forms. - Gas (
-a
) → Represents dispersed or ephemeral substances. - Plasma (
-o
) → Used for dynamic, high-energy concepts. - Exotic (
-u
) → Covers abstract or undefined entities.
These classes serve a purely grammatical function, but Arcadia's vocabulary tends to naturally align with them. For instance, land animals are typically solid, while water animals tend to be liquid—reflecting their environmental association.
